Aixa Barrios - Días Nuevos

Current art expositions pieces can be reserved with a 50% down payment if bought before the show is taken down. The other 50% would be paid on the expositions last day, and it is then that the piece can be retrieved. 
 

Previous art exposition pieces can be purchased and picked up at Meson Panza Verde. The date of arrival of the art piece would be determined by each artist. 

Aixa Barrios is a mixed media Guatemalan artist. She began her career as an artist in 2010, experimenting with oil painting and acrylic. From 2018 to 2020, Aixa participates in small private exhibitions, and her art is acquired by collectors and fans, mainly in Guatemala and the United States. In 2021 she presented the collection "Lo Que Nos Mueve," a set of 10 paintings made with mixed media on canvas, in which Aixa interprets ten poems by the poet Irene Andrade. This exhibition is a set of works that compile the work of Aixa Barrios in recent years including some works from the “Lo Que Nos Mueve” collection. The artworks interpret words, thoughts,

and feelings that the artist perceives and captures in this way on canvas.

 

From the artist:

I’ve always struggled to find the right words to express myself so I sought other ways of understanding how I was perceiving life around me. In that search I found the world of color - infinite possibilities to finally express myself honestly. I used color, acrylic, water and mixed media to tell my stories, and they quickly became other people’s stories as well. Through my artwork, I connected with people at a deeper level because, we all share the ability to feel. I create art that reflects the feelings that can only be felt and expressed through color. I know you understand me when I tell you there are certain emotions that can only be felt without words - that’ s exactly my purpose as an artist; to express that which cannot be said.

 

 

Aixa Barrios es una artista guatemalteca de técnicas mixtas. Comenzó su carrera como artista en 2010, experimentando con la pintura al óleo y el acrílico. De 2018 a 2020, Aixa participa en pequeñas exposiciones privadas, y su arte es adquirido por coleccionistas y aficionados, principalmente en Guatemala y Estados Unidos. En 2021 presenta la colección "Lo Que Nos Mueve", un conjunto de 10 pinturas realizadas con técnica mixta sobre tela, en las que Aixa interpreta diez poemas de la poeta Irene Andrade. Esta exposición es un conjunto de obras que recopila el trabajo de Aixa Barrios en los últimos años incluyendo algunas obras de la colección "Lo Que Nos Mueve". Las obras interpretan palabras, pensamientos

y sentimientos que la artista percibe y plasma así en el lienzo.

 

De la artista:

Siempre he luchado por encontrar las palabras adecuadas para expresarme, así que busqué otras formas de entender cómo percibía la vida a mi alrededor. En esa búsqueda encontré el mundo del color: infinitas posibilidades para expresarme por fin con honestidad. Utilicé el color, el acrílico, el agua y los medios mixtos para contar mis historias, y rápidamente se convirtieron también en las historias de otras personas. A través de mis obras de arte, conecté con la gente a un nivel más profundo porque todos compartimos la capacidad de sentir. Creo arte que refleja los sentimientos que sólo pueden sentirse y expresarse a través del color. Sé que me entienden cuando les digo que hay ciertas emociones que sólo se pueden sentir sin palabras; ése es exactamente mi propósito como artista: expresar lo que no se puede decir.
