Current art expositions pieces can be reserved with a 50% down payment if bought before the show is taken down. The other 50% would be paid on the expositions last day, and it is then that the piece can be retrieved. 
 

Previous art exposition pieces can be purchased and picked up at Meson Panza Verde. The date of arrival of the art piece would be determined by each artist. 

Mi objetivo no es plantear una nueva definición del arte, tampoco es crear nuevas técnicas, o construir y transformar nuevos conceptos. Lo que más deseo es la expresión libre de la ventana a mi ser. El arte recurre a mí como un alivio a lo desgarrador que puede ser la realidad y la pintura se vuelve en un medio existencial. A través de autorretratos, ya sean de mi perspectiva o de la de otros, cuento la historia de mi vida en una narrativa pictural y figurativa. Abordo temas sobre la intimidad, feminidad, desnudez e identidad, en lo cotidiano y banal. Cada obra, cada pintura, es el reflejo más honesto de mi propia esencia, así que a través de ellas me encuentro y me termino conociendo de nuevo.

 

Paulina Cofiño Paniagua nació en Guatemala ciudad en 1997. Vivió allí hasta mudarse a Francia en 2017 para estudiar Artes Plásticas y Estudios de Estética del Arte en la Universidad La Sorbonne en París. En estos 5 años de carrera pudo explorar muchos campos artísticos pero principalmente el análisis de qué es el arte y qué es ser artista en el siglo del “hyper modernismo” en donde la humanidad se enfrenta a la época con más auge tecnológico antes visto. Así mismo como a desarrollar lo que uno es como artista, en lo personal, en lo profundo y en lo teórico. En 2019 tuvo la oportunidad de participar en un workshop con el gran maestro de pintura Roberto Ferri para desarrollar aún más la técnica de la pintura en óleo. También, en el último año de carrera, para el trabajo de tesis de maestría, decide emprender una investigación etnográfica sobre la vida y las dificultades de los artistas Guatemaltecos, que se enfrentan a falta de apoyo gubernamental, a los estragos sociales, políticos e históricos del país diariamente. Finalmente regresa a Guatemala y decide presentar sus obras y pinturas su primera exhibición artística.

 

 

My goal is not to propose a new definition of art, nor is it to create new techniques, or to build and transform new concepts. What I desire most is the free expression of the window to my being. Art comes to me as a relief from how heartbreaking reality can be and painting becomes an existential medium. Through self-portraits, whether from my perspective or that of others, I chronicle the story of my life in a pictorial and figurative narrative. I address themes of intimacy, femininity, nudity and identity, in the everyday and banal. Each work, each painting, is the most honest reflection of my own essence, so through them I find myself and end up knowing myself again.

 

Paulina Cofiño Paniagua was born in Guatemala City in 1997. She lived there until moving to France in 2017 to study Fine Arts and Aesthetics Studies at La Sorbonne University in Paris. In these 5 years of career she was able to explore many artistic fields but mainly the analysis of what art is and what it is to be an artist in the century of "hyper modernism" where humanity is facing the era with more technological boom ever seen. As well as to develop what one is as an artist, personally, deeply and theoretically. In 2019 she had the opportunity to participate in a workshop with the great painting

master Roberto Ferri to further develop the technique of oil painting. Also, in the last year of her career, for her masters thesis work, she decided to undertake an ethnographic research on the life and difficulties of Guatemalan artists, who face a lack of government support, social, political and historical ravages of the country on a daily basis.

She finally returns to Guatemala and decides to present her work and paintings in her first art exhibition.
